The SMC type CJ2B Series is a high-performance miniature pneumatic air cylinder designed for compact, precision linear motion in modern automation systems. Engineered to SMC’s global quality standards, this round-body cylinder features a durable stainless steel tube and piston rod for exceptional corrosion resistance and long service life in diverse industrial environments.

  • Action Type: Standard double-acting, single rod design; also available in single-acting (spring return/extend) variants

  • Bore Sizes: 6mm, 10mm, 16mm; standard strokes 15–200mm (bore-dependent)

  • Body Material: SUS304 stainless steel cylinder body & piston rod, NBR seals

  • Cushioning: Standard rubber bumper cushion (ø6 only) for smooth end-position deceleration

  • Pressure Rating: Operating pressure 0.1–0.7MPa (double-acting); 0.15/0.25MPa min (single-acting)

  • Temperature Range: -10°C to +60°C (with auto-switch); -10°C to +70°C (without auto-switch)

  • Speed Range: Piston speed 50–750mm/s; non-lubricated operation (ISOVG32 oil optional)

  • Port Size: M5×0.8 metric threaded ports; radial/axial piping options

  • Mounting Flexibility: Basic (B), foot, front flange, double clevis, and rod-end bracket mounts

  • Auto-Switch Compatible: Built-in slots for SMC magnetic sensors (CDJ2B variant with built-in magnet)

  • Compact Design: Slim round profile for space-constrained installations

Applications

Perfect for precision positioning, small-part transfer, clamping, ejecting, sorting, and micro-assembly—ideal for electronics, packaging, medical devices, and small-scale automation machinery where space and reliability are critical.
