The SMC Type CQMB Series is a high-performance compact guide rod pneumatic cylinder designed for precision linear motion and lateral load resistance in industrial automation. As part of SMC’s CQM guide rod cylinder family, it features an integrated guide rod structure that delivers superior stability, anti-rotation performance, and load-bearing capacity, making it a reliable solution for applications requiring precise positioning and smooth operation.

Built to SMC’s rigorous quality standards, the CQMB series boasts mounting dimensions compatible with SMC CQS and CQ2 series cylinders, enabling seamless replacement and integration into existing automation systems. Equipped with slide bearings, it offers 2 to 4 times the lateral load resistance compared to standard compact cylinders (CQ series), while ensuring non-rotating accuracy of ±0.2° or less (±0.1° for bore sizes ø20 to ø100) to prevent deflection during operation. The cylinder supports direct load mounting and allows auto switch installation/removal even when the plate is retracted, enhancing operational flexibility.

  • Compact Guide Rod Design: Integrated guide rod structure combines compact profile with enhanced stability, saving installation space while supporting lateral loads.

  • Superior Anti-Rotation Performance: Non-rotating accuracy of ±0.2° or less (ø12-16mm) and ±0.1° or less (ø20-100mm), ensuring precise linear motion without deflection.

  • High Lateral Load Resistance: 2 to 4 times the lateral load resistance compared to SMC CQ series compact cylinders, suitable for heavy-load applications.

  • Universal Compatibility: Mounting dimensions compatible with SMC CQS and CQ2 series, enabling easy replacement and system integration.

  • Flexible Auto Switch Mounting: 4-sided grooves for SMC auto switches (e.g., D-M9 series), with switch mountable/removable even when the plate is retracted.

  • Direct Load Mounting: Allows direct mounting of loads on the cylinder plate, simplifying system design and installation.

  • Durable Construction: High-strength aluminum alloy cylinder tube with hard anodized finish, precision honed bore, and wear-resistant seals for long service life.

  • Rubber Cushion: Built-in rubber bumper at both ends to reduce impact and noise during end-of-stroke operation.

  • Non-Lubricated Operation: Maintenance-free design compatible with standard industrial compressed air systems, reducing operational costs.
