The SMC MXF series is a high-performance low profile pneumatic slide table, engineered with a unique construction where the guide and cylinder are aligned in parallel, achieving exceptional compactness and a low-profile design — its height is 53% to 67% that of the SMC MXS series, making it perfect for automation systems with limited installation space. Equipped with a high-rigidity cross roller linear guide, this slide cylinder ensures smooth, vibration-free operation by isolating the load bearing from the movement of the piston rod and seals, delivering reliable precision in every cycle.
Available in bore sizes 8mm, 12mm, 16mm, and 20mm, the SMC MXF slide cylinder offers standard strokes ranging from 10mm to 100mm, with adjustable stroke at each end (up to 5mm per end, total 10mm) for flexible adaptation to diverse application needs. It supports dual-direction mounting (top side through-hole and bottom side body tapped) and features positioning pin holes on the slide bottom and table top, enabling precise, repeatable mounting and easy workpiece changes without compromising accuracy.
Designed for practicality and durability, the MXF series comes with a recessed groove for auto switch installation to save space, compatible with reed auto switches (D-A9, D-A9V) and solid state auto switches (D-M9, D-M9V, D-M9W, D-M9WV). Its anodized aluminum body ensures corrosion resistance, while the protected stopper section with a cover enhances the product’s neat appearance. Optional configurations include PTFE grease or food grade grease, urethane bumpers, and dual-direction lateral and axial piping, meeting various industrial requirements.
Compliant with ROHS standards, the SMC MXF slide cylinder operates at an operating pressure of 0.15 to 0.7 MPa (21.76 to 101 psi) and an ambient/fluid temperature range of -10°C to 60°C (-14°F to 140°F), with an operating speed range of 50 to 500 mm/s for high-frequency, stable performance. It is widely used in precision positioning, automated handling, assembly, and electronic component processing, serving as a reliable core component for industrial automation systems worldwide.
